BioSys is a knowledge network founded in January 2005 partly financed by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (VTU) and partly by our member companies. Our mission is to stimulate interaction between companies and public science institutions working within the field of bioinformatics and systems biology and to raise the general awareness about these technologies in the Danish scientific community.

Through facilitation of collaborations and the organization of courses and meetings we work to ensure that knowledge about Danish and international breakthroughs in our field is rapidly propagated within the network and subsequently translated into enhanced scientific competitiveness of our member companies and research institutions.

BioSys currently consists of 8 major bioinformatics centers at Danish science institutions and 19 companies and interest organizations representing small to medium size enterprises and some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Denmark and Southern Sweden.
